After becoming pregnant, Sphelele Mzimela was let go from the South African soap opera Uzalo in 2020. Her pregnancy, according to the show’s producers, violated the terms of her contract, which forbade her from getting pregnant while working on the project.
Mzimela’s dismissal upset her. For the past four years, she had been a member of the Uzalo cast and had developed a love for her character Mazaza.
Additionally, she was having a hard time accepting the possibility that she might not be able to have children.
Mzimela has previously struggled to conceive. She had visited the doctor, but they had been unable to identify the cause of her problems. She was beginning to lose hope and was frightened she would never be able to have children. Mzimela’s pregnancy, meanwhile, turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It turned out that she was after all able to conceive. She became a joyful mother of two in 2021 after giving birth to twin boys.
Although Mzimela’s termination from Uzalo was a trying experience, something good came out of it in the end. She is now a mother, and she is appreciative of the chance to go through parenting. She is also appreciative of the fans’ support, who have stood by her during her journey.
The twin boys born to Mzimela were born on February 25, 2021. Sphesihle and Sphemelo were their names. Twins run in the family because the boys’ grandma is also a twin.
