REMEMBER MAWANDE FROM GENERATIONS?

Mawande from Generations comes to mind.

Nambitha Mpumlwana, a South African actress, presenter, and producer (born February 12, 1967), is Loyiso Mpumlwana’s niece. She is well-known for playing Mawande Memela in the SABC 1 soap opera Generations .

She was also cast as Mandlakazi in the e.tv drama Ashes to Ashes and appeared as an actress in the South African film Tsotsi.

Mpumlwana’s career began as a continuity presenter for the SABC before she became a presenter on the SABC2 wildlife program 50/50.  She has hosted the SABC3 program Money as well as the SABC2 programs Lebone and Practical Parenting.  She  acted in a number of movies, including Tsotsi, Red Dust, and Country Of My Skull.

She rose to fame when she appeared in the renowned SABC1 soap opera “Generations” in 2011. She played the character of “Mawande Memela,” a mother of two and a businesswoman who struggles with family issues.

After getting into a fight with her daughter, she was poison by her, which caused her to go insane. The drama continued to develop.She additionally appeared on 7de laan.
