Big blow for Kelly Khumalo as she gets dumped
Kelly Khumalo suffers a major setback after being removed from the festival’s “A Tribute To Women” schedule. The ruling was made in the midst of the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, which is still going on but has been restarted. The North Gauteng High Court case has captured the public’s interest with alarming admissions from State witnesses.
Kelly, who was Senzo Meyiwa’s lover when he was slain in 2014 for the Bafana Bafana, is experiencing the effects of the trial as festival organizers have dropped her from the all-star lineup.
The festival’s organizers issued a statement in which they expressed alarm over a number of remarks on social media sites and phone calls from festival goers. This year, Kelly Khumalo’s performance commitments were cancelled by the festival’s management in order to allow her and her team time to deal with the issues arising from the current court proceedings.
